Who we work with

Built for how residential teams actually run.

From a two-person crew doing ten jobs a month to a regional operation closing four hundred, the back office scales with your season instead of sitting on your payroll through the slow quarter.

01

High-Volume Installers

Quick-turn plan sets that keep pace with a full sales floor.

02

Regional Solar Companies

Consistent multi-state documentation held to the same standard in every AHJ.

03

Sales Organizations

Design and permitting capacity without hiring an engineering team.

04

Roofing & Electrical Contractors

Solar-specific documentation that slots into work you already know how to do.

05

EPCs Handling Overflow

Extra capacity when peak season outruns your in-house drafters.

Process

How a residential job moves through us.

Six stages from first submission to Permission to Operate.

06 / steps
01
Step 01 Same day

Project Submission

Send the site survey, utility bill, signed contract and approved proposal through Sunscape, straight from SiteScape, or inside your own CRM.

02
Step 02 Within 24 hr

Design & Drafting

Your assigned residential design team builds the layout, the electrical design and the full drawing set to the AHJ's format.

03
Step 03 Same day

Greenlight QC

Our AI QC tool checks the set against local codes, design standards and our AHJ and utility database before a human reviewer signs off.

04
Step 04 Within 24 hr

Engineering Review

A licensed PE in our partner network reviews structural and electrical compliance and stamps the set where the jurisdiction requires it.

05
Step 05 24 to 48 hr

Permit & Interconnection Submission

We assemble both packages to AHJ and utility standards, file the permit and the interconnection application, or hand them to you ready to submit.

06
Step 06 Through approval

Approval & PTO

We own plan-check comments, utility corrections and PTO follow-through until the job is cleared to energize. You schedule the inspection.

Project Greenlight

Every set runs through QC before it reaches your AHJ.

Greenlight is our in-house AI quality control tool. It checks each plan set against local codes, design standards and our AHJ and utility database, then flags anything a reviewer needs to look at before the set goes out.

01

Trained on 350,000+ designs we have already processed

02

Reads against 15,000+ AHJs and 1,000+ utilities

03

Catches the rejections that would otherwise cost you a week

04

Runs on every set, every time, at no extra cost

What Greenlight checks
Code edition NEC version your AHJ enforces
Structural Wind and snow loading for the address
Electrical OCPD, voltage drop, 120% rule
Submittal format That jurisdiction's exact requirements
Utility SLD and equipment list agreement
Result 99% first-pass approval
Where we fit

Everything between the sale and the switch-on.

Once the contract is signed, the job becomes a paperwork problem. We take that part off your plate and hand back documents that are ready to file. Residential and commercial solar, energy storage, EV chargers and generators.

01

Site Surveys

A vetted, background-checked, insured technician is dispatched in 24 to 48 hours and captures the roof, attic, electrical and equipment data in SiteScape. Real-time QC runs before the technician leaves the property.

02

Permit Plan Sets

The full drawing set, drawn to the NEC edition your jurisdiction actually enforces and formatted to its exact submittal requirements. Back in 24 hours on residential.

03

Structural Analysis

Rafter and truss capacity checked against the wind and snow loading your AHJ enforces for that exact address, with PE-signed letters where required, so the structure is cleared before your crew is on the roof.

04

Electrical Design

Conductor and OCPD sizing, voltage drop, rapid shutdown, grounding and 120% rule checks, including the main panel upgrade call, handled as part of the full electrical design and stamped by a licensed PE.

05

Permitting & Submittals

The package assembled to AHJ and utility standards and filed through the portal, SolarAPP+, email or over the counter. We own every plan-check comment through to approval.

06

Interconnection & PTO

Applications packaged so the SLD, equipment list and utility form all agree, filed against that utility's current requirements and followed through to Permission to Operate.

Turnaround

Fast Enough to Keep Crews on Roofs

Every stage of your permit package moves on a clock built to keep installs on schedule.

24–48 Hour Plan Sets

A complete site survey is all it takes to get a standard plan set back in 24 to 48 hours.

Same-Day Revisions

Redline turnaround comes back the same day in most cases — no stalled schedule.

Overnight Review

Submit at the end of your day and review the results the next morning.

Why ESR

Why residential installers stay with us.

99% first-pass approval

Sets are built to clear plan check, not just to look complete. Every one runs through Greenlight before it leaves.

One partner, full scope

Proposals, surveys, design, structural, electrical, stamping, permitting and interconnection under one roof. One account manager, NABCEP certified.

AHJ intelligence

15,000+ jurisdictions and 1,000+ utilities in a database we maintain, so your team is not calling the building department to ask what changed.

Elastic capacity

Scale up in Q3 without hiring. Scale down in Q1 without layoffs.

No rejection charges

If an AHJ or utility kicks a set back, we revise it at no extra charge. The cost of a rejection is ours, not yours.

Never a competitor

We do everything in a residential solar project except the installation. We do not sell to homeowners. Your customers stay yours.
